唐孝威，男，浙江大学教授、博士生导师，中国科学院院士，浙江大学语言与认知研究国家创新基地学术委员会主任。1952年毕业于清华大学物理系，主要研究方向为脑科学研究、语言与认知研究等。多次主持或参与国家自然科学基金项目，多次主持和参与国内颇具影响的香山学术会议。发表学术论文40余篇，出版学术专著6部，代表作有《意识论：意识问题的自然科学研究》(高等教育出版社，2004)、《梦的本质——兼评弗洛伊德理论》(吉林人民出版社，2005)、《脑功能原理》(浙江大学出版社，2003)等，目前正在主持“211工程”重点学科建设项目“认知科学及其应用”、国家“985”二期项目“语言与认知研究中的前沿问题”。
